Location: Maxwell AFB, Montgomery, Alabama.
What they do: source and buy uniform accoutrements for the AFJROTC program, run quotes against requirements, place and track orders, verify receipts against packing slips, resolve shortages and substitutions with vendors, and keep the purchasing record clean enough to survive an audit.
MUST HAVE
- Two or more years in purchasing, procurement or buying
- Experience running competitive quotes and documenting the selection
- Vendor management and order expediting
- Detail accuracy on part numbers, sizes and quantities; this contract is uniform items where a wrong size is a wrong order
- Comfortable in Excel and in a purchasing or ERP system
- US person, background check, base access at Maxwell AFB
NICE TO HAVE
- Prior federal or DoD purchasing
- Apparel, uniform or insignia category experience
- Familiarity with AFJROTC or a cadet program
